Boxer/Shepherd Mix - Rueben is a 9 week old Boxer, Shepherd mix who was rescued from a local shelter. He is cute, friendly, and totally loveable.

Wire Fox Terrier - Zoey is being surrendered by her current owners and they are pretty broken up about it.
She is about two years old and around 15 pounds. She is an incredibly cute and smart little girl. She is micro-chipped,
current on vaccinations, and spayed.

Springer / Lab mix - Marley is a bout 5 months old and was found abandoned. He is currently in a foster home where he is learning the finer points of puppy manners.

Poodle mix - Martin
has a sad story that will hopefully have a happy ending very soon. He
was rescued from a local shelter and he had a leg that was broken so
bad that it was going out sideways. We had our vet do surgery and fix
him up and now he is one of the best little dogs we've ever had in the
rescue. He is the personification of "loveable dog". He is
house-trained, neutered, current on
vaccines, and
micro-chipped.

Neopolitan Mastiff mix - Doug
is back with the rescue and it is through no fault of his own. He is
good with people and has been tested with other animals, but we believe
that he is best as an only dog. Doug is a BIG,
beautiful boy. I mean, look at the size of that head and those jowels.
How could you not love that! Doug is one amazing dog. He is neutered,
micro-chipped, and current on his vaccines.

GoldenDoodle - Max
is a seven month old (born March 24, 2011) Goldendoodle, and we expect
him to weigh around seventy pounds when he is full grown (currently 55
lbs).
He is a very friendly, out going puppy and he is great with kids,
although a little clumsy and rambunctious when playing. Max also has
been through a beginning obedience course and knows all the basics:
sit, stay, drop, come, etc., how could you not love that! He is
neutered,
micro-chipped, and current on his vaccines.
Coco ~ Adopted!!!!!!
Shih Tzu - Coco is an owner surrender and they had this to say about her.....Coco
the Shitzu is a very sweet girl who loves be petted and loved up. She
is happy just to hang out by our side, but likes to play if we play
with her. She is calm and very easy to care for. She is fully
potty-trained and doesn't need to be kenneled, as she never chews or
tears things up. She is a great companion for adults and kids. She
loves to hang out in the front yard with us and doesn't really wander
away from us. She is learning to like more other dogs more each day.
She was nervous when she first arrived at our foster home, but gets
less nervous every day. She knows how to sit, stay, and lay down.

English Mastiff - Duke is an 8 month old
English Mastiff and he already weighs about 80 pounds. Needless to say
he is going to be a big boy. He does very well with all people and all
of the foster dogs where he is staying. He is
house-trained, neutered, current on
vaccines, and
micro-chipped.

Pit Bull - Richie is going to be a big boy. He has a wonderful personality, loves
to play with kids, toys, anyone and everything. He is in a foster home
with one dog and can not get enough play time. Richie loves to cuddle
and be on your lap. He knows how to sit and will go to the door when he
needs to go potty

Pit Bull - Rico
is almost 2 years old, and is a very nice looking dog. His coat is just as smooth as silk. Rico
is a very happy dog,
and loves to play fetch with you, whether it be a stick, a ball , or a rope.
He has been tested with dogs, and does fine with kids, although we
have never tested him with cats. Rico is
very much a people dog and wants nothing more to please you whether it
be playing in the yard or sitting down with you to watch a movie and
chew on his bone. He would make one heck of a loyal best friend and
companion. He knows basic obedience, is respectful, and justs wants to
be loved. He is
neutered, current on
vaccines and
micro-chipped.
Jax ~ Adopted!!!!!!
Pit Bull - Jax
is between 1 and a half and 2 years old. He is a big boy, almost 80
pounds, and he had a puppy's heart. Jax is exactly what you
think about when you think "Pit Bull." He has a huge head, a big,
muscular chest, and is one of the nicest, most affectionate dogs you
will ever meet. Jax
is just a very happy, very friendly dog, who loves to be by your
side whenever he can.
He has been tested with other dogs, off leash, and does great with
kids. He is not a very high energy dog either, usually after 5 to 10
minutes of ball he is ready to chill and lay on the couch with
you......or on you if that's your thing. Jax is one of the most
loveable, happiest, and dopiest (I say that with total affection) dogs
we have ever had. Once you meet Jax, you will wonder why in
the heck nobody scooped him up the second we got him. He is that
awesome! He is

Border Collie mix - Angel
is about 7 weeks old and was found abandoned. She is in a foster home and doing
very well. As you can see, she is a doll.

She does great with other dogs, cats, and especially kid. She is an
absolute sweetheart and a great dog. She is completely house-trained,
doesn't need to be kenneled and will definitely make a great addition

Lab / Springer mix - Rod
is about 6 months old now and he loves to play. If you want a dog that
enjoys life, Rod is definitely it. He is in a foster home with several
other dogs and does very well. These pictures were taken at an offsite
event at Dogtopia, on July 19th and he impressed us all. He is

home learning how to be a well mannered puppy, the finer art of

is approximately 6 months old. He is in a foster home with two other dogs, a cat, and does very well with everybody. He is neutered, current on
vaccines and

Chinese Crested Powder Puff - Meet
McGee! He is an adorable 2 year old Chinese Crested Powderpuff! He has
a rare reddish/ gray coat that makes him look merle. This is an amazing
little guy and he is always happy to see you. He smiles and dances and
prances around. Loves to play with dogs and cats, but loves to cuddle
even more. He is a liitle shy first meeting you but latches on fast. He
was a owner surrender because they were having problems getting him
potty trained, but after neutering and a strict routine, this guy is
well on his way to being housebroken.Powderpuffs do not require as much
as a hairless and they are even heathier, plus you can shave them down
like a hairless as well. He will require brushing daily and grooming at
least every 6 months or so. He may be best with kids 12 and up. He has
been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm checked and started
on heartworm preventaive.

Chihuahua mix - Betsy
is about 7 weeks old and a flood victim. She and her sister Tacy
were found after they had been abandoned. They were very scared and
much too thin. Despite all of this, she is in a foster home and doing
very well and she loves to play in the yard and chase the bigger dogs.

Border Collie / Lab /Pit mix - Frank
is a little over a year old, and already knows his basic obedience.
He loves to play with other dogs and he has attended doggie day
care on a regular basis. Frank is a very well behaved young dog
and the Dogtopia staff is quick to compliment him on it. He is micro-chipped,
current on his vaccinations, and neutered.

Chihuahua - Tacy is a flood victim, she was found with her sister Betsy abandoned, scared, and much too thin.
She is just a baby at 7 or 8 weeks old and she is cute! Tacy is in a
foster home and she has really come through the rough times she had to
go through before she came to us.

Pit Bull mix - Jerry
is a male pit mix who is probably around 2 and a half years old.
What can I say, he is a total HAM! He is good
with both other dogs and kids, loves to play with puppies, and has
been tested with cats. He loves absolutely everyone and everything and they all seem to love him right back just as quickly.
This dog is all about personality and I guarantee you will smile within 30 seconds of meeting him. He is always happiest when
he is out in the yard with his best friend Sloan, but he is just as happy with other dogs as well. He
was rescued from a kill shelter and is an amazing dog. He is house-trained and is not kenneled in his foster home and he does great! He is
micro-chipped,
current on his vaccinations, and neutered.
Tahra ~ Adopted!!!!!!
American Bulldog / Boxer mix - Tahra
is a American Bulldog and Boxer mix, about 16 to 18 months old, who we rescued
from a kill shelter that was
overflowing. Unfortunately, the town has a breed ban and Tahra was one
of
the first who would be euthanized. She is absolutely gorgeous and the
most loving dog ever!!! She gets along well with other dogs
and has been in play group with several of them at a time. She is good
with kids also, but she would be better suited to a home with no cats. She also
loves to play in water, and is in it as often as he can be.
Tahra is one of the special dogs that finds everything in life
interesting. She always has a puppy smile for you and will love you up
if you will let her. She is just one of those dogs that everybody
instantly falls in love with.
We desperately need to get her into a foster home, sh is currently in a
kennel facility and that is no place for a girl this good, or as sweet
as she is. If you would be willing to foster Tahra, please contact on of us and we will get back to you immediately. Tahra is micro-chipped,

Lab mix - Poor
little Billy was found living in a ditch all on his own when he was
just a few weeks old. He was skinny, scared, and covered with fleas. He
is all better now and ready to be adopted to his forever home. He is in a foster home with several dogs and loves to play with them.

Pit Bull mix - Sweets is a female and about 1 and a half to 2 years old and was rescued from a kill shelter where her breed is illegal.
Sweets
family had just moved there and didn't realize she was illegal and she
was taken from them. We rescued her, put her in a great foster home,
and now she is an absolutely amazing dog. Sweets is the sweetest
girl and truly lives up to her name. She gets along well with other dogs and doesn't mind cats
either and is very good with kids. Sweets has pretty good obedience, and is housebroken, and does not chew. She is micro-chipped,
current on vaccinations, and spayed.

Pekingnese - Cocoa
is a 6 year old sweet Pekingese from Oklahoma. Her owner is
getting deployed and cannot find anyone to take her. She is good with
kids and loves everyone she meets. Happy girl. Her adoption fee is
$125. She does have one underlying health issue and that is that
she needs to be on special food to prevent bladder stones. She needs to
be on this food or you will be having to take her to the vet. She is
housetrained but cannot hold it for an entire 8 hour day. She is about
18 pounds and happy as can be.

Pit Bull mix - FOSTER HOME ALSO NEEDED. We rescued smoke literally less than 20 minutes before he was to be put down. He is a blue brindle pit and absolutely beautiful, one of the prettier dogs we have ever seen in fact. Smoke
is about a two years old, 55 - 60 pounds, and a very
affectionate dog and he loves to sit on your lap and watch TV with
his ball in his mouth. He always seems to have one of those happy pit
bull smiles for you. Smoke
is one of the few pit bulls that I have known who loves water and above
are videos of him playing in the water. Smoke does need to go to a home
with no cats and he would be happiest if he was the only dog. Smoke
needs an experienced bully breed owner
who is active and wants to burn off some energy right along with him.
Smoke is honestly one of the best dogs that I have ever seen come
through our rescue and know he would make somebody one heck of a best
friend.

Cane Corso mix - Riddick
is getting a bum deal and has to be surrendered by his previous owners.
Riddick is one of the most incredible dogs I have ever seen. He is
about 3 years old, 60 lbs, and has better manners than most dogs his
senior. He is completely potty-trained, has great house manners, is
good with cats and other dogs of all sizes, as well as small children.

American Rednose Pit Bull - Zeus
is an amazing dog who unfortunately had a really heartless owner. He
was turned out to be found by the humane society and when his owner was
notified, he failed to show up and left him to die. Zeus is an
incredible dog who is fully house-trained, good with other dogs, kids,
and cats. He is a total people dog and loves to be with them,....or
better yet on them. He is

is a 9 week old Rottweiler puppy that was rescued from a kill shelter.
Beju is going to be a big, beautiful girl (she is about 12 - 15 pounds

Golden Retriever mix - Otis is a 7 week old Golden Retriever mix puppy we got when he was only 4 weeks old.
He is growing by the day and learning to be a good puppy in his foster

Blue Heeler / Lab mix - FOSTER HOME ALSO NEEDED. Gates
was rescued from a shelter that was overflowing with dogs. His coloring
is amazing and the shelter raved about what a good dog that he was.
Gates loves to play outside and will play fetch or just run and
entertain himself. He loves to run in the yard and play, the whole world is his game and it is nothing but fun to watch him. He
loves people and gets along well with most other dogs. He
is really eager to make you happy and earn a scratch behind the ears,
or a full on hug. He is very smart and has really become a good dog in
his time with us. He is

Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poodle mix) - Shelly
is an owner surrender whose owners chose to leave her behind when they
moved to the west coast. Shelly was pregnant when she was surrendered,
and now has two puppies that she is raising. She is one of the
friendliest little girls that you will ever meet and with a little
grooming and better pictures, you will see that Shelly is an absolute
doll. Shelly will be micro-chipped,
current on vaccinations, and spayed before adoption.

Havapoo - Troy (named for Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers and his crazy hair), is
a havanese and poodle mix. He is about 8 months old, about 10
pounds, likes to play with other puppies, and completely adorable. Havapoos are also hypo-allergenic, non-shedding dogs. He is

Boston Terrier - Mr. Bean is a 3 year old Boston Terrier that was rescued from a local shelter. You
can see that he is a handsome little guy and a great example of a
Boston Terrier. He is in a foster home with kids, cats, and other dogs
and he does fine with all of them. They say that he loves to sit with, or on, you. He is micro-chipped,
current on his vaccinations, and neutered.

Rottweiler / Lab mix - Cash
was abandoned in a house for several months with no heat or electricity
and barely any food with two other dogs. Despite this, Cash still loves
to play fetch, keep away, and sniffing around the yard at his foster
home. He is also a very large boy at 100 plus pounds. Cash is
house-trained, neutered, micro-chipped, and current on all of his
vaccinations.

Chinese Crested Powderpuff - Bindee is a 6 month old Chinese Crested Powderpuff. Great with dogs, cats and
kids. Very independent and somewhat reserved, kennel trained and almost
house trained. Loves to play with dogs and snuggle. Very sweet and
loving girl. She is spayed, current on
vaccines and
micro-chipped.

Springer / Lab mix - Rodney is
about 5 weeks old. He was dropped on a person's doorstep along with
his siblings in a box. He is as cute as can be, and lots of fun to

Blue Brindle Pit Bull - Lizzy
was rescued from a shelter in a city with a complete breed ban on pit
bulls. She is now about 5 months old, 20 - 25 pounds, and a beautiful
young blue brindle pit bull. She is 90% house-trained, gets along well with other dogs,
doesn't mind cats, and loves kids. She lives to play. Her foster home is also working with her on her obedience training. She is spayed,
micro-chipped and current on vaccinations

Bullador - Macey
is an owner surrender who is just an awesome looking dog. She has been
kept in a pen for last several months and they were going to shoot her,
but now we have her and she is doing great. She is one of the sweetest
dogs ever and loves everything. Cats, dogs, kids, you name it, she is
happy to see it. She is house-trained, completely lovable and she deserves a chance at a good life and to be
loved. She is micro-chipped,

Boxer mix - Sloan
is a male boxer mix who is about two years old.
He is good with both other dogs and kids. We have not tested him with
cats yet. Sloan
was rescued from a kill shelter and it is a good thing, he is one of
the most affectionate dogs you will ever meet and he lives to sit on your lap. He
is very well behaved, really smart, and loves to play with you. I
honestly do not know enough good words to tell you what an amazing dog
Sloan is. He is

Schnauzer / Yorkie mix? - Willie
is only 8 weeks old and I can already hear you saying AHHHHH. He,
his sister Sheila, and three other pups were left by the front door of
an Animal Shelter in Shenandoah when they were only a day or two old.
We honestly have no idea what their breed is yet, but best guess would
say Schnorkie (Schnauzer/Yorkie mix).

Red Nose Pit Bull
- Clay is about 4 months old and he is already house-trained. The
shelter that he was rescued from said that he is a great little guy and
an absolute doll.
Diamond ~ Adopted!!!!!!
Pit Bull mix - Diamond
is a pit mix that was rescued from a local shelter. Everyone thought
she was pregnant, and wanted her. When the other groups found out she
wasn't they all backed out. This was a shame and their loss because
Diamond is an extremely loving and sweet dog. She is about 60 pounds
and probably about 2 years old. Diamond is currently in a foster home
where she is learning to be a well manner dog. She is spayed,
micro-chipped and current on vaccinations

Yorkie - Simon
is a 3 year old Yorkie that we rescued from a puppy mill. Unlike
most puppy mill dogs, he was never scared of us and quickly found a lap
to sit in. He also does just fine with other dogs. We hope to have better pictures of him posted
soon. He is

vaccines and

Havanese - Benny
was rescued from a puppy mill. He is a little shy, but he is only a
year old and will adjust in time. After a proper bath and
grooming, we will get better pictures of him up. Unfortunately, keeping
their dogs clean is never a big priority for most puppy mills. Doug is

Havapoo - Baker
is a havanese and poodle mix. He is 16 weeks old, about 5 pounds, likes
to play with other puppies, and completely adorable. Havapoos are also hypo-allergenic, non-shedding dogs. He is

Schnauzer / Yorkie mix? - Sheila

Foxhound mix - Scamp is approximately five years old. He is very loving and enjoys
laying on the floor by your feet in the evening as you watch TV. Scamp
loves a good scratch behind the ears, he will roll over and beg for a
belly rub and when that happens he has a great big smile on his face.
He does well with kids, he loves to play keep away and fetch, and is
just an incredibly happy dog. He is also completely housetrained. He is micro-chipped,
current on his vaccinations, and neutered.

is an owner surrender, but a very regretful one. She is a good girl
that has been with children and gets along well with other dogs.
Her family says that she is an amazing dog and loves everything and

Black Lab mix
- Mandy is approximately 1-2 years old. She is probably about 35 -
40 pounds and a very
sweet girl that gets along well with other animals. She is
housebroken and she likes to keep her area very neat and tidy. Mandy is
completely happy chewing on a bone, sitting with you and watching TV,
or playing in the yard. She is an absolute joy to have in the house and
you will not regret bringing her into your life. She is micro-chipped,
current on vaccinations, and spayed.

Cocker Spaniel - Joe
is a 5 year old cocker spaniel that we rescued from a mill auction. His
time at the mill has made him very shy, but he loves to be out in the
yard to roam with the other dogs in his foster home. Joe is already
making large strides to feeling more comfortable and everybody that has
met him absolutely wants to pick him up or pet him. He is
neutered, current on
vaccines and
